I have spent a great deal of time in the classroom as an art instructor, predominately in the graphic arts including type design, color theory, publications and book arts.
It is heartening to consider I may have influenced another individual’s creative journey no matter how great or small.
My focus is to broaden conceptual thinking and inspire ideas by unearthing the many possibilities one can consider as they create.
I know first hand how many “ comps” it takes to nail a book cover or logo design, or how many layers of paint is involved in getting to the finished piece.
It is from these collected experiences and honed skills where I can offer encouragement toward creating a rich life of art and arts in our culture.
It’s our mark in the world.
Here are a few samples of my graphic design work, and my student’s work.
